XM Radio

I've been thinking about it for several months now and I finally made the decision to buy XM Radio.  I've only had it a couple days now and I really like it.  I bought the RoadyXT package with the car kit and also purchased a Delphi boombox.  The boombox works great in the house and I tried the car kit today and it also sounds great.  The car kit was extremely easy to get working, just hang the unit off my air vent with the included bracket, plug the power into the cig lighter, throw the antenna on the dash, tune to an open FM station and BAM, I had xm radio in the car.  Drove around town to see how the signal would hold up and it sounded great.  With the subscription I also get xm radio online so I can listen to all the music stations at my computer, and at work.  It'll also fill my one sports vice, baseball, this summer.

A Fresh Start

Woke up to the new year to see a beautiful sunny day with a fresh 5 or so inches of snow on the ground.  It looked rather nice considering everything had been brown up to now.  I was also glad to see that my neighbor had blown the snow off all the neighborhood sidewalks.  So I ventured out to clean up the steps and shovel me a walkway through the backyard to my truck.  Lots of people were out, shoveling or blowing snow, getting their snowmobiles going for the first time this year, or just enjoying the sunny 25 degree weather with their kids.  I was going to take the day off but it was nice to get a little outdoor exercise on the first day of the year.  Last night it was snowing so we didn't venture out for New Years Eve, not that we would have anyway.  Watched Garrison Keillors New Years Eve show on PBS.  It was different, with some pretty good bluegrass music throughout.  I don't think the wife found it too interesting as she fell asleep about 11:00.  So I rang the New Year in on my own.  Now that the kids are out of the nest, we need to figure out some new things to do on these holidays!
